Port Aransas Birding Center Pier

This is an original painting, oil on canvas, 9” x 12” unframed with gallery wrapped stretchers; no staples are showing along the edges which are painted a blue similar to the background of the painting. This painting is of the observation pier at the Leonabell Turnbull Birding Center of Port Aransas on the Gulf of Mexico. I’ve painted the scene at dusk when birds are active and feeding just before nesting down for the evening. It is a magical place to observe hundreds of birds and other wildlife native to the beautiful Gulf Coast.
