Headdress of the Western Plains or Eastern Lakes

This is an original painting, oil on canvas, 12 x 16, unframed with gallery wrapped stretchers; no staples are showing along the edges which are painted pale blue similar to the background of the painting. This feather headdress is from the Eastern Plains or Western Great Lakes around the second half of the 18th century and was featured in an 2015 exhibit at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art titled, “The Plains Indians:  Artists of Earth and Sky.”  I think I could fly wearing this-it would help anyway.
