Santa Elena Canyon From Overlook. This is an original painting, oil on canvas, 11x14 framed with gallery wrapped stretchers; no staples are showing along the edges which are painted a light burnt siena. This iconic rock canyon wall is seen from the park road overlook where we stopped to paint. After returning home from spending a week at Big Bend, I completed this from a study I painted en plein air that day in February 2019. Words cannot describe this location.
